Do-it-Yourself Wedding Makeup Tips

You want to shine like a star in your wedding photos, and the right makeup will play a big role in that. For most women, a professional makeup artist is not a necessity. These are the top DIY wedding makeup tips you need to know to get a perfect result.

Just because you do not hire a professional makeup artist does not mean that you cannot benefit from their expertise. You can schedule a free consultation with a makeup artist at a department store or your favorite makeup store, like MAC. They do not charge you for a free makeup application, based on the assumption that you will probably buy some of the products they use (which you likely will want to do anyway). It can be a great value, and you will learn tips that you will use not only on your wedding day, but for your everyday beauty routine as well. Bring a friend to help you remember all of the tips that you are given.

To get the most of of your free makeup lesson, it is important to come prepared. If at all possible, wear a shirt that is in a similar color to your wedding gown. What looks best with ivory may not be the same as what is most flattering against white. Many brides will also wear their bridal jewelry. This is an especially good idea if you have any color to your bridal jewelry, so the artist can select lipstick and eyeshadow shades that complement, rather than clash with, your accessories. You should also be prepared to tell your makeup artist about the style of your wedding, as well as what look appeals to you in general. For instance, if you are having an afternoon wedding on a beach, you would want a very natural and healthy look, whereas for an evening wedding, you might prefer a more sultry, sophisticated effect.

Leave the makeup from your trial run on all day to see how it feels and performs over the course of many hours. Does the mascara flake? Or perhaps the foundation feels cakey and heavy on your skin? Some makeup may even have a reaction with the natural oils in your skin and change color over time (foundation and pressed powder are the most prone to this). You might also be pleasantly surprised by a lipstick that really does not fade or eyeshadow that stays crease-free. The time to find all of this out is before your wedding so that you can choose alternate products if need be.

Practice makes perfect, so be sure to try your hand applying your new makeup a few times before your wedding day. If you are not usually one to wear makeup, you may wish to enlist a friend to help you. At one wedding I attended, a bevy of friends did the bride makeup, with each doing the part at which she was most skilled. One woman did the foundation and concealer, another the eyeshadow and liquid eyeliner, a third applied a few false lashes (the tiny individual ones can look natural and glamorous at the same time), and a fourth friend handled the lipcolor. The results of the team effort was sheer perfection!

Doing your own wedding makeup is entirely possible with a little guidance and practice. The results can be just as beautiful as makeup applied by a professional, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your makeup is done exactly the way you like it.

Choosing Professional Wedding Make-up

The right make-up for a wedding is one of the many important elements to consider when planning for a wedding. Brides need to be conscious of this element as it completes and complements the overall look of her wedding ensemble. Professional wedding make-up artists study the craft of applying wedding make-up as this is different from fashion, film or photo-shoot make-up. Below are essential factors that a professional wedding make-artist needs to consider.

Study skin types-It’s advisable to study and assess a skin type before even choosing a wedding look or deciding on a professional wedding make-up artist. This will also help the bride decide on the type and artist. Skin types can be anywhere from dry, oily, prone to break-outs. Skin types may also mean complexion type. These include fair, olive, medium fair, or dark. Of course wedding make-up is different for each nationality; Asians, Caucasians, African-American and Latin-Americans all require complementing colors and palettes.

Research on styles- Today there are various make-up styles for every type wedding. The make-up will depend on the time, place or theme of the wedding. Beach or other destination weddings will require summer palettes. Evening weddings needs make-up that is slightly dramatic but not heavy. Formal weddings entail wedding make-up that looks polished and smooth.

Artist rapport and personality-The wedding make-up artist’s rapport and personality is a major consideration when deciding on the make-up. It’s important to relate well with the bride. The artist will be working in close proximity to her from the pre-wedding preparations right up to the reception festivities.

Promoting professional wedding make-up services can be challenging when faced with numerous competition and limited marketing resources. One effective and affordable method is the use of print promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, catalogs, tags, even posters or postcards. These are direct and easy mediums for exposure. An online printer like Uprinting for example, offers printing services through a website, calling a toll free number or through live chat. Uprinting also maintains blogs and samples of print output on graphic design blogs and popular photo uploading blogs like Flicker.

Choosing Wedding Hair Styles - 9 Tips To Select A Gorgeous Style

On the wedding day every girl wishes to look at her best. After all, it is the most cherished moment of her life. It is the day when she would commit her love for her groom amidst their family, relatives & friends. On this day even the very pretty looking girls plan on their looks so much so that they look different from the usual & phenomenally beautiful of course.

The decisions that you take for this day are very important & are equally risky as well. With out a good professional advice choosing your make up & style for the wedding is a real tough one. And in our fast lives today it is indeed very tough to chalk the time to try on every possible make up & hair style & then decide for your self!

So, to keep up with the latest bridal trends, better set aside some budget for the professional stylist to help you with your make up & hairstyle.

Following below are some tips to help you make the key decisions regarding your hair styling & make up for the day of the wedding:

1. Choose some natural looking make up

No on would like to look like a heavily painted doll when the guests come close to greet the couple. So you must choose a very natural looking make up for your self. You must also take care that the make up you choose must look great in the wedding pictures.

2. Get a facial done.

Facial eliminates all the stress marks caused on the face due to the tensions of the preparing of the wedding. It cleanses your skin & makes you look brighter for the big day.

3. Have enough time on hand.

You must make sure to have enough time for your make up & hair dressing. Visit your hair stylist at least six weeks prior to the wedding so that they can go ahead with some minor changes needed in the hair. Also, in case you are planning to change your hair style, the hair color, or the length of the hair, you might also need time up to 6 months or so.

4. Meet the hair dresser & seek an appointment.

You must prefer a hair dresser recommended by some one close in the friends and / or family. While we all seek appointment for the wedding day, seek some extra appointments and show the professional some snaps of the kind of style, dress & head pieces you wish to have on your big day. Also discuss with the professional in detail regarding the apt color, texture & style.

5. For permed or relaxed hair

In case you plan to have permed or relaxed hair, discuss it with your hair stylist. Check if they think that this procedure is safe or would it damage your hair. Damaged hair of course would never look good & they are also very difficult to style. Nowm still if you want to try these, make sure you have enough time on hand in case the experiment turns a flop for any reason.

6. Coloring your hair.

Let the professional help you decide the shade in case you are thinking of dyeing or coloring your hair. The shade you choose must suit your skin tone & the color of your eyes. Also make sure that you first try the shade you decide on with the temporary dye first.

7. Hair Style must match with the cut of your wedding gown.

Make sure that the hair style you choose is quite in tandem with the cuts & shape of your wedding gown. For instance, with a simple gown, go for something very uncomplicated. You must also make sure that the hair style you choose does not call for much care as on your big day you shall have 'n' number of things to take of.

8. For the short hair.

Those girls who have short hair may try highlighting to ad some richness to their style. Try undergoing some hair treatments or with a professional advice use some products that would add shine to your hair. For short hair other tips to get that glory are getting a multi-textured look done or may be putting up some flowers.

9. For the long hair.

Those who have long hair can try some very elegant & classy looks with their hair tied up with a rich style. This makes the job of handling the hair quite easy as well, as the day for you would be too long with numerous other things to look up to.

Now along with these tips, gather as much information as you can from a professional hair stylist and get started with the planning of your big day in full fling!

Makeup Application That Can Bring Out the Best in Your Eyes

Different people have different seeing abilities. Some have 20/20 vision; therefore, they can see clearly and normally. On the other hand, other people may be able to see only from afar or only at times when things are very close. These two little pair of eyes connected to our brain, ensures our vital functioning. Without it, we cannot see what we are doing. We will not be able to identify people, colors or even places. People who do not have sight have a hard time doing things as normal people do.

Aside from the physiologic importance of eyes, it also has an important role in making women beautiful. Yes, aside from the fact that the eyes are considered the window to our soul, it can contribute much too physical beauty that we always want. People wear contact lens with various colors in the hope that they can do away with glasses and enhance their looks with the colors of the lens. Some have their eyelashes curled to widen the eyes. However, the most basic method to enhance eye beauty is the use of makeup.

With the use of these items, your eyes are shaped, enhanced, changed and liven up to reflect your personality and bring out your physical beauty. There are various ways to apply it and different styles can bring out the best in your eyes, no matter what occasion you will be attending or whether it is just an ordinary day. Check out below and try out these styles.

Smokey eyes- To do this makes you look very diva like. The color applied in here should be a mix of dark and light tones. The base should be a little bit darker than your skin tone but shimmers and contour colors should be darker than the base or could have a matter effect. Eyes are lined with a pencil; eyes are made strong with the use of black mascara; and eyebrows are well defined.

Cat eyes- This helps you create a dramatic effect on your looks. One needs to have a steady hand while applying the eyeliner because this is your key to making this look work. After putting the eye shadow, all you have to do is to start lining your tip of your eyelids with the eyeliner (whether liquid or pencil). You can even extend it a bit making the tip slanted upwards. Now you can enjoy an Angelina Jolie look.

Natural Looking- This makeup application is perfect for ordinary days like going to work or a day in the mall. Colors are earthy or mostly natural tones. The end result makes you look fresh looking and your eyes brightens up as if you have gotten enough sleep. In addition, you appear well rested and glowing.

If you want more to add more beauty to your eyes, you can experiment on these styles and see which one will work for you. Of course, there are other designs but you can enjoy these styles just as you see in the magazine. They are also not hard to do.

Why Hire a Bridal Hair and Makeup Artist?

This is the day you have dreamed of since you were just a little girl. You have always pictured in your mind how you would look on your wedding day. Now, it is coming time to actually start planning for that wonderful, romantic, "dream come true" of a day. You have finally found Mr. Wonderful, your perfect dress, the perfect place you want to walk down the aisle, the look and feel of the bridesmaids standing by your side, your flowers...but did you think about your hair and makeup? Are you going to leave that last detail to chance? It is time to think about hiring a professional bridal hair and makeup artist.

Why should you hire a professional bridal hair makeup artist for your wedding day? The answer is quite simple, education, experience, knowledge and the stress-free, convenient environment they create. You want every thing to be perfect on your wedding day and so do they. The last thing you need to stress about is making sure your makeup and hair looks just right. Relax; hire a professional bridal hair and makeup artist that will come to you, which puts more time in your already busy schedule. You will save time and energy and its fun! It is very important that your hair and makeup will look as beautiful and relevant in 20 years as it does on the day of your wedding.

A bridal hair and makeup artist knows how to achieve the trendy styles of today without "dating" your photos, creating a perfect memory of your wedding day for you and your family to enjoy for years to come. Bridal hair and makeup artists use professional products and have the knowledge as to which ones will work with your particular hair or skin type. They are trained to create looks that compliment your dress, the theme of the wedding and your personality. When choosing a makeup artist, make sure you choose one that has specialized training in what is called "Media Makeup". Media Makeup is the knowledge of what the camera (or photograph) will need for color and definition. Bridal Makeup artists understand how makeup will show up with the flash of the camera or under certain lighting conditions. With this education and skill, bridal makeup artists will insure your makeup is never too much or too little and that your wedding photos will be "picture perfect".

Makeup Artists - How to Set Up a Portfolio

A professional portfolio is a necessity for every makeup artist. It will attract clients and potentially get you bookings. Here are some important things to take in consideration when putting your portfolio together...

If possible, try to get the pictures done by a professional photographer. The more professional looking your portfolio is, the more likely you are to get bookings. A professional photographer doesn't have to be expensive. Sometimes you can find a photographer who is willing to take the pictures for free, provided they also get to keep a copy of the picture for their portfolio. It is also a good idea to check your local college for photography students that might be willing to take pictures just to gain experience.

Your portfolio should only contain about 15 photos of your very best work. Never, ever put pictures of yourself in your portfolio. It comes across as very unprofessional... Check with your local modeling agency... sometimes you can find a model who is willing to be in your portfolio if she can have a copy of the photo for her portfolio. Remember... your portfolio should only contain 15 pictures of your very best work.

Just starting out, your best bet is to specialize in either bridal makeup or dramatic makeup. If you choose to go both ways, make sure to set up two different portfolio's. That way each portfolio will flow with continuity and you won't have dramatic pictures and softer makeup looks intermingled with each other.

Some Makeup Artists use an online digital portfolio instead of a hard copy portfolio. I would strongly suggest that you don't go that route. I have heard of instances of people stealing people's makeup looks from online portfolio's and an online portfolio never looks as professional as a hard copy portfolio.

Once you've set up your portfolio you are well on your way to career in makeup artistry.

Step-by-step Bridal Makeup Application Tips

Your wedding day is coming closer and closer and if there is one thing you want most, it is looking the best on your special day. Here is a step-by-step guide to applying makeup for your wedding day:

Preparing Your Face

1. Start with a clean, well moisturized face. If you have oily skin, use a moisturizer specified for your skin type. If you have dry skin, use a hydrating spray before you begin.

2. Now select a foundation. This is a very important part and you need to be very careful when choosing a foundation. You need to look for a product that suits your skin tone and is also long-staying. If you are having a summer or a beach wedding, look for something water resistant. The foundation should also be streak proof so that makeup lines don’t show. It should really set off your complexion and not make it look dull. A useful tip is to go to a beauty counter and get 2-3 products tried on your face well before the wedding.

3. After applying the foundation, set it with a translucent setting powder.

Eye Makeup

1. Hydrate the area with cream and then make a base. Apply a neutral color Eyeshadow over the entire eyelid right you’re your lash line to the bow.

2. Now for some accentuation. Use a mid tone hue in the outer corner of the eye to emphasize it. Take care to use Eyeshadow colors that suit your skin tone and go well with your accessories, jewelry and bouquet colors.

3. Now apply eyeliner. It is good to practice well beforehand to get a clean and straight line.

3. For thick lashes, use an eyelash curler to curl them and coat with a double coat of mascara. If you think there is even a slight chance that you might cry, go in for waterproof mascara.

Cheeks and Lips

1. Choose a color that suits your skin tone and goes with your dress and enhance your natural glow with blusher.

2. Prepare your lips by applying lip balm. Exfoliate and moisturize lips regularly prior to the wedding to ensure soft and smooth lips.

3. Line your lips with a lip liner. Don’t sway from your natural shape. Just make your natural shape more visible.

4. Fill in with an appropriate shade of lipstick. Once again, make sure your lipstick in transfer-resistant and long stay. Invest in a good quality lipstick that gives you all this and keeps your lips moisturized.

It is always advised to put on trial makeup several times before the wedding so that you save yourself from any last-minute makeup disasters on your most special day. Lots of rest and a relaxed state of mind will ensure you have your natural glow on your wedding day.

Bridal Makeup Tips For Flawless Wedding Makeup Application (Part 3 - Blush, Lipstick & Bronzer)

Every bride absolutely needs to get her makeup done right on her wedding day. No one can turn back the clock once the day is over. We've detailed many essential facts on the importance of wearing foundation (Part 1) and the steps involved in eye makeup application (Part 2). Now, we complete the entire bridal makeup look with many blush, lipstick and bronzer application tips and techniques.

Blush:

Blush is possibly one of the most overlooked beauty products, however, it is probably one of the most important. It makes brides look healthier and more alive. Powder blush is the most popular type of blush, and the easiest to apply on humid days.

If you choose to wear a powder blush, layer the color on slightly heavier than usual and blend carefully. Focus on the apples of the cheeks for a light rosy hue.

When you apply blush to your cheeks, make sure your makeup brush is not damp. If it is not completely dry, you can get a streaky application.

Alternatively, every blushing bride can opt to wear a cream or stain blush for all day coverage. Cheek stains are a fabulous alternative to traditional powder blush. Just a dab will give you that rosy wedding glow. The cosmetic line, Tarte has a great cheek stain in a few great colors that you might want to try. Dab on a nickel sized dot on apples of cheeks and swirl in circular motions, just as you would regular powder blush. Applying these stains ensures that your blush color lasts all day.

Lipstick:

For lip color to last and to look flattering, there are a few options:

- find a lipstick that features a higher color pigmentation

- avoid pale colors as your lips will fade into your dress

- on the contrary, dark colors will completely offset your entire look

- use a lip tint and top off with a gloss

- use a waterproof lip pencil (in a matching color) over the entire lips and then, apply a semi-moist lipstick or gloss

- apply a little foundation to the lips before lipstick and lip liner application to create more staying-power

- for black and white photos, avoid dark lipsticks as they will look MORE dark in these pictures

Bronzer:

Now that all of your makeup is on, finish off your wedding day look by using a bronzer. This will give you the most radiant & sun-kissed glow. In my opinion, the look of a bronzer on the face is second to none. It adds warmth to your face. Its application truly makes a difference.

When selecting a bronzer, choose a shade that's no more than two shades darker than your skin.

Apply where the sun would normally warm the face, such as on tops of cheekbones, temples, bridge of nose and tip of chin. Avoid applying bronzer all over the face. To ensure proper application, be sure to use a large makeup brush with longer bristles.

Classic Bridal Makeup - The Perfect Wedding Day Look (Part 1 - Foundation)

There are many ways of achieving a classic bridal makeup look. In reality, a classic look is soft and beautifully balanced. It consists of flattering colors that give a timeless look and reflects impeccable style.

It never goes out of style.

It is definitely clean, neutral, sophisticated and polished. You want to look at your wedding photos for many years to come without saying: "What was I thinking?"

The best way to avoid this is to choose a neutral makeup color palette that best compliments your particular skin tone, eye and hair color. Although many women suit cool colors best, you can easily wear warm ones too. It's one way to keep things toned down and natural.

Also, be sure to coordinate your makeup to some extent with your wedding color theme and time of the year. If you have a fall wedding and have chosen a theme made up of warm fall colors, it's best to choose makeup colors in this palette. In other words, pink and lilac pastels may not be the most suitable choice. Let your theme colors guide you into what makes you comfortable.

If you prefer cool makeup colors and suit them better altogether, remember that there are many neutral cool colors to choose from also. It is always possible to have a warm color theme and cool makeup palette. You just need to know how to pick them. Altogether, the neutrals are the classic colors that will keep your scheme well balanced.

A classic makeup style looks great on anyone. Of course, the makeup colors and application techniques can be modified slightly but it is in my opinion, the foundation to the perfect bridal makeup look. Of all styles, this is my favourite one. I hope it inspires you.

Basic step by step guide on how to accomplish this timeless look.

Before you begin makeup application, be sure to prepare skin properly.

FACE:

- Before using your foundation, apply M.A.C Strobe Liquid. This formula produces a soft, natural-looking glow and leaves the skin looking healthier and more radiant.

- Next, apply foundation, tinted moisturizer or mineral makeup. Always consider wearing some form of foundation on your wedding day. It makes your look.

- Use a concealer if needed for blemishes, dark under eye circles and any other areas of concern. It is important to cover up any redness on your face as these areas will be amplified in your photos.

- Now, apply powder in the same tone as your foundation with a large powder blush. Do this sparingly - you don't want a "caked" look. Plus, you will likely be building up your powder application throughout the day and night - you don't want too many layers.

Remember, it is highly recommended that you wear some form of foundation for your wedding. Of all makeup application steps, avoid leaving this one out. It will balance your entire look.

What Does a Makeup Artist Do?

For example, Fashion makeup artists are specialists in working with models who appear in magazine photographs.

The next kind of makeup is for the theatre where the artist has to highlight the face so that it becomes more visible and the expressions become more apparent to the audience.

The third kind of makeup is high definition. This is for films as faces on film show much more detail and need to be properly made up to reflect the character.

The fourth type is special effects. This is where makeup has to be used to create a fantasy or features that aren't real.

The skill of an artist is, not only judged by their makeup style (based on what the director or photographer wants), but also on the relationships they build with the people they work with. If an artist or actor likes the makeup artist from a certain job, they may hire them again or refer them to more clients, which is what helps making a great makeup artist.

Wedding hair and makeup requires a skilled blend of all three areas of makeup artistry, and Suzi the makeup artist Gold Coast calls its own is a maestro at them all!

Bridal Beauty Secrets - Bridal Makeup Tips - Makeup and Hairstyle

Every bride deserves to be the very special lady of the day and look her best. The hairdo, the makeup, the bridal trousseau and how the bride conducts herself is the focus of everybody's attention on this day and you will certainly feel much more comfortable, if you have already done the dress rehearsal first . With the aid of makeup artists, your bridal makeup can be the perfect one. Forwards are some tips for a durable and good looking makeup. It's reported that nothing compares with a blushing bride.

Where to Begin…

The first thing to get right is your skin and eyebrows…I would recommend a series of facials in the run up to your wedding (that is if you don’t already have regular facials) Start a few months before as it is common for your skin to break out and get worse before it gets better after a facial if you haven’t had one for a long time. (Something to do with getting all the impurities out) Treat yourself to one a month for 3 months before the big day…your last one at least a few days before your wedding, to give your skin time to settle down) Eyebrows should be shaped the day before if possible.

Bridal Makeup Tips

Bridal make up includes dressing up your face, eyes and hair for the special day.

* Before applying foundation, use a gel or a primer. This helps your wedding make up stay for the whole day.

* Use tinted foundation in different colors to reflect the shaded and highlighted areas.

* Trim your brows properly and shape your eyes with eyeliner.

* Go in for false lashes to add the dramatic look to the eyes.

For a resistant blushing, a powder-based blush is recommended.

In the day of the wedding, you should not apply any makeup to your brows. Anyway, it is recommended to apply the eye color and a neutral shadow after putting on shadow primer. To conclude, your beauty routine make a quick check of your face and powder before you leave for the ceremony. If you can have your bridal makeup professionally applied, go for it and save stress. Besides, the difference in front of the camera will be startling, speaking good of you for the years to come.

Golden Tips for Bridal Makeup

On the wedding day the Indian bride wants to look best when all when all eyes are set on her. Bride's make up, hairstyle and outfit should be perfectly matched. Her overall look should match her personality. From the bridal outfit to her make up and hairstyle everything should add to her beauty and compliment each other. For a bride her wedding dress is of her most priority.

On your wedding day, you want to look fabulous-but remain true to yourself. You don't want to look like a stranger in your wedding photos.

1. Don’t usually wear makeup? Bend your rule just a little. At the very least, your skin should look flawless and glowing

2. Go through magazines to help you decide how you want your wedding makeup to look before you meet with a makeup artist or purchase any cosmetics. You might want to do this with your groom if you have heard him say things like "you don't need any makeup," "you're beautiful just the way you are," or "just wear what you usually wear." You should let him know that wedding makeup is applied a little differently for photography and that it needs to last all day. If possible, include him when looking through the magazines for wedding makeup styles.

3. To cover the reddish skin, use sheer color corrector and apply tinted moisturizer of yellowish green or olive green shade to neutralize it.

4. Pink color blush is not for the wedding day, generally speaking. Try bronzer under cheekbones instead.

5. For brides with oily skin, be sure to avoid any harsh skin treatments as these can actually increase the amount of oil in your skin. A better alternative is to being a skin care routine with cleansers and balancers made specifically for your skin type.

6. Don’t be afraid to experiment with makeup in the months leading up to the wedding. You should aim to have your makeup choices made at least a month before the wedding so that you can be sure you do not have nasty reactions to new products.

7. Don’t feel that your bridal makeup needs to be very heavy for it to look good in pictures. If you do this, your wedding makeup will only look as though it's been caked on.

8. Apply two layers of waterproof mascara, having few seconds pause between, to avoid smudging Make sure you use smudge proof eye makeup. Wedding ceremonies take a longer time and you might rub the eyes accidentally. Eye shadow should compliment your skin tone and the outfit your wear. Use eyelashes for a dramatic look.

9. Don't forget to carry all of your bridal makeup with you. You never know when you may need to reapply makeup at your wedding.

10. Use a long-lasting lipstick. When they first came out, most were dry and not suitable for a day-filled with close-ups and endless congratulatory kisses. But the new generation wised up with separate color and moisturizer. Apply the color once at the beginning of the day, and remoisturize a couple of times to keep lips luscious and picture-perfect. My favorites are the Cover Girl Outlast All-day Lipcolor.

  • To lengthen wearing time of your lipstick, apply a light layer of powder over your lipstick then apply another layer of lipstick
  • If you are doing your own makeup, see a beauty consultant and purchase your make up at least 3 months in advance. Then practice until you’ve got the perfect makeup.
  • Waterproof mascara is a great idea just incase you get a little weepy.
  • A very light application of facial powder will set your makeup and reduce
  • Keep your powder, mascara, and lipstick in your purse so you can freshen up at a moments notice.
  • If you discover that dreaded pimple on your wedding day, do not squeeze it! Just apply a drop of visene to get the red out, cover with concealer, and apply foundation.
  • Wear a button shirt when applying your makeup so you don’t mess up your makeup. When slipping into your gown put a towel over your face so you don’t get makeup on your wedding dress.

  • If your wedding is outside be sure to apply sunscreen first
  • Water based foundation looks most natural in photos
  • For eye contouring, apply a dark but neutral in the crease of the eye. You can line the upper and lower lids (optional) with brown or grey shadow, smudging the outer corners
  • If you need to make your eyes look wider or brighter, use a white pencil to line the inside of the lower lids.
  • Don't get too much sun before your wedding. Sunburns, peeling skin and tan lines can sabotage your special day.
  • Make certain your wedding photographer is “not” using grainy film, because no matter how good your makeup is, with grainy film it will not look good
  • Make sure your wedding photographer is using high quality film so your photos do your wedding makeup justice
  • For your makeup to look good in your photos, it must be completely matte and in neutral tones, brides usually prefer a little color. Pastels look soft and pretty, but avoid glitter, shimmer and frosted eyeshadows.
  • Shine is the #1 enemy for photos.
  • Don’t apply white or black eye shadow
  • Olive complexions should not use gray shades
  • Pale complexions should not use vibrant colors.
